C-Lax Tablet (Laxative)

C-Lax Tablet (Laxative)

In traditional medicine, Senna is used for the treatment of constipation because of its laxative effect. Also, this plant has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration as a herbal laxative.

Laboratory studies have shown that the active ingredient of the Senna (Senozid) doesn’t absorb in the small intestine and is converted into the active metabolite of Rhein-Anthrone by the normal flora in the large intestine. These compounds stimulate and increase the peristaltic movements of the intestine, thereby increases the secretion of active chloride and mucus in the large intestine. Also, the Senna leaves contain glycosides which act as laxatives.

Base on the studies, the effectiveness of this product is like Bisacodyl drug for treating constipation.
